Designers’ Inquiry – data visualisation workshop

News — January 8, 2013

Last April we launched an inquiry on the socio-economic situation of today’s designers. In little more than two months we collected 1,070 responses, of which 767 from designers operating in Italy. After a first session (July 2012) in which we collectively elaborated the collected data, from the 25th to the 27th January 2013 we will meet again in order to carry on the project: we are organising a workshop at the FDV residency for creatives at Careof DOCVA at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, which will be open to six graphic designers who are interested in the Designers’ Inquiry.

During these three days, on one hand we wish to create moments of dialogue in which the results will be presented and discussed and possible future projects to be based on the inquiry will be sketched out. On the other hand, with the help of Gianluca Seta and Paolo Ciuccarelli we will elaborate a visual and functional synthesis of the collected information with the idea to produce a publication.

If you are interested in participating we ask you to send us an email with a few lines of motivation before the 20th January: pratichenonaffermative (at)
